These are the sentiments that compel me to collect what I shed. Each corkscrew strand and every clump is a souvenir of my experiences- my daily life. Sometimes mundane, sometimes loaded with the weight of carrying a crown that defies gravity. The series of work, To Grow You is to Know You is an effort to process the complex relationship I have with my hair.
